Content Description From the Collection:

A collection of music manuscripts and scores for orchestra, chamber music ensembles, opera, voice and solo instruments by composer and former Northwestern University School of Music professor Wesley LaViolette. The colleciton also includes a small amount of La Violette's papers including three books.

Published scores from di Bonaventura’s personal library. Most scores are autographed by the composer and bear personal inscriptions, dedications and/ or other annotations but not performance markings.

Scope and Contents From the Collection:

The Jerry Fuller Papers contains music scores, programs, sound recordings, photos, clippings, correspondence, publication materials, and other concert related materials. Some prominent musicians and composers represented in the collection includes William Ferris (1937-2000), William Russo (1927-2003), and Rachel Barton Pine (b. 1974).

The collection includes music in manuscript and published editions for solo piano, voice and piano, various solo instruments with piano accompaniment, a few chamber works, scores for ballets and plays and orchestral music.

Included in her papers are extensive notes and musical examples used in her lectures on Russian music and dance. Additional programs, notes, and some correspondence are also included.

Arrangements separated from other manuscripts and grouped together as, “Original Arrangements” by Richard Czerwonky for unknown reasons. The separation and original order of the arrangments within the sub-series have been maintained in the present arrangement of the collection.

Scope and Contents From the Collection: The Moldenhauer Collection is comprised of music manuscripts, sketches and quotations, correspondence, photographs, newspaper clippings, printed programs, manuscript texts and other materials which document composers and musicians active between 1683 and 1973. The majority of the materials date between 1890 and 1950.
